About Us
"The best way to predict the future is to invent it. "
~ Alan Kay
And what else can best define our future if not robots. Robotics Society, Kgec believes that the future lies
in the world of robotics and we strive forward to spread and act on it.
We work on domains like : Mechatronics, Robot Design, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Electronics and IoT to build basic robotic systems. We also have a web team, a Content team and a Graphics Team to promote our belief.
Our Motto
Think, Build, Renovate.
Our Domains
AI, ML and CV
The ML and OpenCV specialists make sure their models make extremely precise predictions and detect extensive arenas.
Content Writing
The Content Team is responsible for All documentations and Content required.
Graphics Designing and
Video Editing
The posters that we release regularly are the hard work of our Graphics Team.
Electronics and IoT
The Electronics and IoT team take care of all the connections and Communications a Robot might need to work efficiently.
Mechatronics and Robot
The Mechatronics and the Robot Design Team are the ones who nake sure that our robots have been designed with utmost precision and also thought has been put for further upgradations.
Web Development and
Cloud Computing
This very website has been put together by our web team and they will keep updating and upgrading it.
Our Projects
D.E.B.R.I.S. Cleaning Bot
A cleaning bot named DEBRIS, an abbreviation of Dedicated and Enthusiastic Bot with Real Intelligence System, is a bot which have the ability to pick up small garbage and clean the area covered by it. The main feature of this bot is its path coverage algorithm known as DARP or Divide Areas based on Robot's Intial Position. The project is multi-agent system to cover and do the maximum work in the least possible time. DARP helps our agents(robots) to plan their path and cover the entire area by avoiding the obstacles and working with a high efficiency with almost 95%.
Hand Gesture Car
The project included a hand and a car which were made using different components including Arduino nano, L298 š¦šØšš®š„š, nrf 24101, BO Motor with wheel, and Fibre Sheet for the car. As for the hand we used Arduino nano, MPU 6050, 7805 voltage regulator IC with heat sink and screw nut , and nrf 24l01 among others.
Home Automation System
A pro of using Sinric Pro is that it lets us control all the devices over the internet, without the need to connect them to a common LAN. We can customize the way we want to control various devices including switches, smart light bulbs, thermostats, smart televisions, smart locks, smart speakers, contact sensors, dimmer switches, doorbells, cameras, and so forth. We can also keep checks on the power estimates of different gadgets controlled using this service. It also enables us to schedule devices the way we want.
Firebase IoT Dashboard
The device which had a NodeMCU (ESP8266) as the microcontroller, was programmed in Arduino IDE and used the libraries WiFiManager.h and FirebaseESP8266.h. A website was hosted on firebase that allowed one to toggle the LED, adjust its intensity, and also read the data from two sensors that were on that IoT device. Moreover, all of this was implemented in a very beginner-friendly way
Monokrome Grid
It is a fully autonomous centrally monitored maze solver project for Flipkart Grid 3.0 (2021). The project contained four bots equipped with ESP12F microcontroller which interfaced an L298N motor driver to drive the bots from the commands it received over Wi-Fi through MQTT pub-sub. The central monitoring system is nothing but a camera attached to a computer which is running an MQTT broker and an Open-CV based python maze-solver script.
RASA Chatbot
Chatbots, the wonderful conversational agents have won the interactivity and engagement when stacked on top of web or mobile apps. Now, at the heart of chatbot technology lies natural language processing or NLP, the same technology that forms the basis of the voice recognition systems used by virtual assistants such as Google Now, Appleās Siri, and Microsoftās Cortana. Here, the framework that we have used to build the bot is Rasa, a popular, incredibly powerful open-source framework for developing AI-powered chatbots.
Calculator
In this project, we will build our own calculator with Arduino and Keypad, with results that can be viewed on the LCD screen. This calculator will be able to perform simple operations like Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division with whole numbers. So let us, deep-dive, into how we can engineer our next good calculator with Arduino.
Microservobot
Technology has made great advancements in recent years and has made life more easy and comfortable. Here is one such project! Now do your work easily staying inside your own cozy space with the Micro Servo Bot.The Bot helps us pick and place things according to our instructions. Isnāt that interesting? Imagine yourself sitting on the sofa comfortably and giving instructions to the bot in the kitchen as it picks up the ingredients and helps you cook. I am sure youāll be having a great time.
Working of Computer Clock
We are considering how the 555 timer working in different sets of modes. so basically 555 timer have three types of modes. Astable, monostable, bistable all of the modes can create square waveform except bistable mode. we are using only astable or bistable mode in this project.
TechFest
Our Techfest - Techtix
KGEC Robotics Society is back with a trip down the memory lane, a tour to the exciting and most successful event of ESPEKTRO - 2020, the TechTix '20 events under KGEC - Robotics Society. With our adrenaline rushing, and excitement reaching it's peek, the Robotics Society conducted the following events for Techtix '20 having the best participation from the college -
- - RoboMaze
- - Hydraulic Arm
- - Water Rocket
- - 1 vs 1
